How to make a simple salad? 

These recipe made by my cousin. When my first time to eat lettuce in a little bunch I don’t like taste but when my cousin made a salad it was very delicious. I like the combination of mango and salt. 

Here are the ingredients :

1.Romain lettuce or green ice lettuce 

2. Carrots

3. Cucumber

4. Mango

5. Salt. 

First wash the vegetables. Second cut the Romain lettuce or green ice into two put in a bowl or plate. Third Slice the cucumber and carrots into circle. Fourth slice the mango in any slice. Fifth combined it together and put the salt and mix together. And you already a vegetable salad,it is healthy to your body. Thats how it simple. Try it now.

Chopsuey

How to make chopsuey? This dishes are very popular to the Filipino it was the best dishes at all. One of the favorite Filipino dish. It is like pakbet that all vegetables mixed together and you only add a liver,shrimp and pork or chicken it depends witch are you going to add to make your chopsuey special. So here are the ingredients to make your chopsuey. 

Ingredients

  1. ½ lbs pork, sliced into small pieces
  2. 4 cloves garlic, diced
  3. 1 medium onion, diced
  4. ½ lbs chicken liver
  5. 1 14 oz. can of chicken stock (broth)
  6. ½ lbs shrimp, shelled, deveined
  7. ¼ lbs snow peas
  8. ½ lbs cauliflower
  9. ½ lbs cabbage
  10. ½ lbs young corn
  11. 1 medium carrot, sliced
  12. 1 red bell pepper, cut into small pieces
  13. 1 green bell pepper, cut into small pieces
  14. 2 tbsp of cornstarch, dissolved in ¼ cup of water
  15. 3 tbsp fish sauce
  16. 4 tbsp vegetable oil
  17. salt and pepper to taste
  1.  

In a large Pan prehit the cooking and after prehiting,saute the garlic and onion. Add the pork after 3 minutes add the liver.Add half the chicken stock and a dash of salt. Simmer for 15 minutes or until pork is cooked. Add shrimp and remaining vegetables. Add remaining chicken stock, fish sauce, and dissolved cornstarch. Cook for 5-8 minutes, or until vegetables are cooked. Salt and pepper to taste. Serve hot with rice. 

That’s how easy to cook try now!!!

Pinakbet

How to cook pinakbet? 
INGREDIENTS FOR PINAKBET

  • 2 medium-length eggplants, cubed
  • 1 medium-length bitter melon (ampalaya), sliced
  • 6 tender okra pods
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1/2 cup of sliced onions
  • 1/2 cup chopped tomatoes
  • 1 cup water from rinsing rice
  • 3 tbsp fermented sauce (less if it’s a salty bagoong)
  • 1 tbsp pounded ginger
  • 1 cup boiled sliced pork
  • 2 tbsp cooking oil

First preheat the oil and then put the garlic, onion and ginger. After that put the pork if the pork is ok add all vegetables and add the water after 3 minute add the bagoong and wait till the veggies are good.

Hi guys. Did you know mushroom? My blog for today is different types of mushroom. So let me introduced to you what is mushroom. 

A mushroom or toadstool is the fleshy, spore-beating fruiting bidy of fungus, typically produced above ground on soil or on it’s food source. There are different kind of mushroom, it have the botton mushroom this one is white and circle compare to the other this botton is more than little size and popular this mushroom into pizza toppings, shitake mushroom the color of this one is brown and a little bigger than botton, this one is the most known mushroom, oyster mushroom these one it’s like leave that the leave is pad and good for diningding in ilokano. Way back in my childhood days, we find mushroom in the banana tree ,there are mushroom their behind the banana leaves and we carefully get mushroom because some of the mushroom has have poison in that simple mushroom we add it to the other vegetables. Ilokano are the best in mixing any different of vegetables and we could only get the vegetables in the forest and also it is healthy because it’s organic. That’s all guys hope you learned.

Egg plant 

Hey guys. My blog for today is about egg plant. This vegetables are very useful in may different dishes. It is the best for Filipino dishes like for pinakbet one of the main ingredients is the egg plant, tortang talong mixed with the egg ang fried it, inihaw na talong with tomato the native one,onion and the last is bagoong and many more that mixed with the another veggies. It is good source of vitamin, manganese and a lot of nutrients. It is called “Talong” in Tagalog. There has many kind of egg plant their is the small one that circle and the long one and the medium but big size like in the pictures. Egg plant is very hard to plant and it is for about 9-10 months to grow but it is beneficial because you have your own plant. You can plant this in your backyard it is convenient and you don’t have to buy to the market just go to your backyard and get some of it, and by the way the scientific name of egg plant is “Solanum Melongena”

Spring Onion 

Good evening everyone. So here I am again. Representing the spring onion to you guys. What is spring onion? Hiw to use these in terms of cooking? Is it good? 

Spring onion is a he young version of leeks. Like what I’ve mention before when I blogthe leeks. The spring onion leaves has more than little than the leeks,it is tiny and long leaves. It is very easy to plant this spring onion, you can plant in your backyard or even in the sacks, you can only put the soil there and put the spring onion with the root one cause if there’s no root your spring onion will not grow and then hose the water to grow. It is harvested before the bulb swell and when you harvest leave the half of spring and it will again. For me spring onion is the best for the soup like lugaw, aruzcaldo soup and many more. So try now.

Hi guys. How are you? Now let’s talk about ginger. We all know that ginger is a very medicinal spices, it is useful and beneficial. It’s is good for for the throat when you have a soul throat you can only slice a little piece of ginger and make it like a candy. Here in the Philippines are commonly known the salabat powder which is ginger powder. This salabat is medicine,good for the health it cleans the digestive system and prevent sickness when you are traveling just drink a one glass of it . Ginger is popularly known as spices is is a root crops that belongs to the garlic and onion spices. Did you know that the word ginger comes from the ancient Sanskrit singabera, meaning “shape like a horn”. The scientific name of ginger is Zingiber Officinale.
